Second life has many events; you can socialize, attend plays, go to movie showings and partake in many other forms of entertainment like dancing through your avatar.

First Exploration

Today I entered second life for the first time out of my composition 2 class.i wanted to explore some of the regions of second life first hand. I hoped to gain some knowledge on the functions of second life as well aw meetsome new people.
My first venture to new lands was at InfoIsland, I was joined by Mary Blum or as she goes by mebshowgirl on second life When we teleported to InfoIsland we found our self at a real-estate building. There were signs that had words in red print like investment and property. The building was wooden with a green roof top. Then we walked on a path that took us through a camping area and led us to a brick building with flowers and gazeboes near it. We then flew to an art gallery it was the Library Art gallery. on the outside there were pine trees and a waterfall. Once we entered it the ground floor had pictures of snowmen. As I went up stairs I found art work by Sledge Roffo. Mary and I flew to the Alliance Library and found the library assistant who directed us to the librarian Paulino. She gave us a link for future events.
My next adventures were alone. I visited both the Podex and Chakryn Forest. In the Podex I met Ella Mayfair she informed me about the sandbox and I learned that it is a place to build stuff. Fabio Taov was a builder and informed me of a way to make money by going to camp grounds. Then I walked over to a very interesting creation and met the builder he was a French man named Lollito Larkham. His inspirations were Frankinstien and Lovecraft. He was attempting to portray a mad scientist’s lair. As I explored the area I found many interesting art forms. I then teleported to Chakryn Forest using the slurl and its objective was endangered open space sims. This area was all forest. Many tall trees and plants were located in this area. I encountered a water element that asked I retrieve a poison from the oceans edge and it would reward me. I flew around to explore and found a rock formation on the waters edge I landed there and took a picture.
I then moved to Themiskyra. I encountered many structures of interest.i found an amazon plalce and entered it. I was intrigued by the letter posted on the wall, its heading was BITCHES OATH. It portrayed women as repressing men and taking advantage of them. I was interested in that idea.
I feel that it is a flip on the ordinary perspective on men and women relationships. The man is no longer the bad guy. Typically society puts blame on men, they lower women’s self esteem and abuse them mentally. In this group the roles have flipped the women make the men feel inferior.

Let Me Introduce My Second Self

In the virtual reality of second life I have created an avatar to represent myself. I modified the appearance as well as made it possess some of my human physical qualities. My avatar is named kelseyg3197 Mnemonic.
I will first describe my physical appearance as the avatar on second life. She is slightly tan with blue eyes. Her hair is and pulled back low and in a messy bun. she is wearing a dress with black heals. The dress is a halter top and has the torso is grey with the bottom black and a grey strip along the bottom. She has an average build and is slim.
I would describe my human form as average. I am five foot six inches tall with medium length hair. My eyes are blue but often shift to more of a grayish color. My skin is an olive tone and I am pretty slim. My typical outfit is a pair of blue jeans and a tee shirt.
I will change my avatars appearances from time to time when I log in so that I can get more accustom to the functions of second life. I feel that my avatars appearance is fairly basic and with time it will become more customized to myself. I would like for the avatar to portray the physical appearance that I have.
I have not asked for any input on my appearance so far on second life though I just modified it recently do not have any money so far so I could not buy any new out fits some of the people in second life assisted me in changing my appearance by giving me outfits skin and hair.
My appearance in second life is something I am happy with. It looks some what like I do but I think with time it will be even better. Some of the changes I would like to make with the avatar are the outfits and also the hair. I would like for it to match me better. I currently am not able to afford to make these changes and have not yet discovered how to do them.
Overall I am very happy with my progress in appearance so far. I plan to make changes in the near future to modify my avatar.
